About The Area Baby Center
The Summit Women’s Club established the Area Baby Center in June, 1999. The Center’s goal is to provide basic necessities such as diapers, baby wipes, and toiletries for babies from disadvantaged families in our local community. By providing these items, the Area Baby Center hopes to ease the burden of parents caring for a baby up to two years of age and to show the support of the community. In building the next generation, we must understand it is only as strong as its weakest member and ABC’s goal is to help these young members of the next generation. Our services are open to any family with a new baby who resides in Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Stirling, Gillette and Springfield. The ABC helps a maximum of 60 families and distributes over 8,500 diapers each month.
